Barnyard Millet and Mushroom Cutlet

BARNYARD MILLET AND MUSHROOM CUTLET

Ingredients

  1. Barnyard Millet , soaked, boiled, drained1 cup
  2. Barnyard flour2 tbsp
  3. Button mushrooms , chopped – 1 cup 
  4. Green peas, boiled, mashed1 tbsp
  5. Onion , chopped1 tbsp
  6. Ginger , chopped1/2 tsp
  7. Green Chilli , chopped1/2 tsp
  8. Potato, boiled and mashed1/2 cup
  9. Red Chilli powder1 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder – a pinch
  11. Coriander Powder1 tbsp
  12. Garam masala powdera pinch
  13. Salt – to taste
  14. Oil – for frying

Method

  1. Saute onions, ginger, garlic and green chilli. mushroom and green peas.Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt.
  2. Add mashed potato and 1/2 cup barnyard millet. Mix well and transfer the mixture to a plate. Divide the mixture into equal size and shape them into balls and flatten them using your palm.
  3. Make a slurry of barnyard flour,salt and water. 
  4. Dip the cutlet in a slurp and coat well with remaining barnyard millet.and  fry them on both sides till it is golden brown.
  5. Serve hot.
