Ragi Matar ka Shorba

Ingredients

  1. Finger millet /Ragi millet, soaked overnight2 tbsp
  2. Fresh green peas2 cup
  3. Green chilly, chopped1/2 tsp
  4. Ginger, chopped1/2 tsp
  5. Mint leavesa few leaves
  6. Coriander leaves & stalks30 gm
  7. Salt – to taste
  8. Refined oil1 tsp
  9. Lemon juicea few drops

Method

  1. Boil ragi millet till it completely gets cooked. Strain and keep aside.
  2. Saute green chilly, ginger , mint leaves and chopped coriander leaves and stalks. Add vegetable stock / water  and simmer the flame. Add salt . 
  3. Add green peas , ragi millet. Cook for a  few minutes.
  4. Strain the stock and make a smooth puree.
  5. In a thick bottom pan , add peas & millet puree, add strain stock water. As per desired consistency. Check the seasoning.Finish with a drop of lemon juice.
  6. Serve hot. Garnished with mint sprig and few boiled ragi millet.
