Ingredients
- Little millet /samai , soaked overnight – 1/2 cup
- Water – 1 cup
- Onion, chopped – 1 tbsp
- Mixed Vegetables (beans,Carrot,Peas,Capsicum)diced – 1/2 cup.
- Coriander leaves, chopped – 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice – to taste
- Salt – to taste.
- Mustard seed – 1/2 tsp
- Jeera – 1/2 tsp
- Hing – a pinch
- Green chilies, chopped – 1 tsp
- Ginger grated – 1 tsp
- Curry leaves – a few
- Desi ghee – 2 tbsp
Method
- Wash Little Millet and cook until soft.
- Heat ghee in a pan, add the mustard seeds and jeera, let them splutter. Add hing, green chilies, ginger, curry leaves, and saute for a few seconds.
- Add onion and saute till the onion turns slightly brown in color. Add diced mixed vegetables, millet, water, salt and mix well. Adjust seasoning.
- Cook on a slow flame . Finish with coriander leaves, lime juice and mix well. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
